Personal data processing
We will only store your personal data will for a justified reason. We may need to process your data for the purposes of providing member and training services, communications, maintaining various performance records and monitoring activities, ensuring the quality of training and developing our training services and operations.
More information about the personal data processed by SPEK in its systems can be found at the bottom of this page.
Personal data is processed by employees of SPEK and by separately agreed partners, with whom SPEK has agreed on the processing of personal data in accordance with the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
Rights of the users of services
As a user of the services, you have the right to receive information about what data we store about you and who processes your data. In addition, you can access and view the personal data we collect about you and update it if necessary.
1. Right to access my data
You can request to access and view your personal data stored in our services by submitting a request for access by mail, email or phone.
2. Right to accurate and complete data
If you notice that your personal data is incomplete or inaccurate, you can request to have the data corrected. Please tell us the information that is inaccurate and why and how it should be corrected. Alternatively, please tell us what information needs to be completed and how.
3. Right to restrict processing
If you have let us know that your data is inaccurate, you have the right to request that the processing of your data is restricted until the accuracy of the data has been verified.
4. Right to withdraw consent to processing
You can ask us in writing to delete your information from the service. You can delete your newsletter subscription data at any time by unsubscribing from the link found in each newsletter.
5. Complaint ot the processing of personal data
If necessary, you can lodge a complaint about the processing of your data to the Data Protection Ombudsman. The link to the Data Protection Ombudsman can be found above on this page.
What personal data do we store?
Visitor tracking on our websites does not collect data that could be used to directly identify individual users. In some cases, the visitor’s IP address may be considered personal data.
In addition to IP address, only general statistics about the use of the websites are collected and used to develop online services. This information includes the pages or documents downloaded, the time and duration of the visit, and the web browser and operating system used.
Website visitor tracking uses the Matomo analytics service, and data obtained from the service is not transferred outside the EU or the European Economic Area. We also use analytics services by Google on some of our website’s pages.
Some pages of the site contain embedded third party applications, such as social media feeds, videos or podcasts. These applications use cookies to notify the third party that the page has been loaded.

Purpose of processing personal data
The register maintains information on training seminars, training organisations, course leaders and instructors related to the 72 hours training concept. Data needed by SPEK in order to carry out customer service and quality control and monitoring of training courses is collected and stored in the system. The data is also used for the development of training.
Data content of the register
The register collects the following information on persons who have received training: first and last name, email address, phone number, town or city and whether they represent an organisation. In addition, information about training attended by the person and consents given by the data subject are collected in the register.
Regular sources of data
Data is collected directly from persons receiving training. Persons receiving training have consented to the processing of their personal data for one or several specific purposes. Persons receiving training have the right to withdraw their consent at any time by contacting the controller.
Informing of data subjects
Persons who participate in the 72 hours instructor training are informed that their data are stored in the training register and used for customer service and monitoring of training. Participants are also informed that their personal data will be published in the instructor search only with their written consent. Persons who participate or have participated in other 72 hours training are informed of personal data processing when the data is collected. The privacy notice for personal data processing is available on the 72 hours website.
Regular disclosures of data
Personal data in the register may be published in the instructor search on the www.72tuntia.fi website with the consent of the registered instructor. Only the instructor’s name and email address and/or phone number and, optionally, the organisation represented are published. Instructors may request the removal of their personal data from the public instructor search at any time. The controller may disclose data related to training completed by data subjects when required by Finnish authorities. We will never transfer data outside the EU or the European Economic Area.
Right to rectify or erase data
All data subjects have the right to request the rectification of inaccurate data in the register or the erasure of their data. Requests for rectification can be sent to the controller by email.
Principles of data protection
Personal data is stored confidentially. SPEK’s networks and equipment used to store the registers are protected by firewalls and other networks technical safeguards.

Purpose of processing of personal data
Maintaining performance records of online courses organised by SPEK.
Data content of the register
The following personal data is collected on students: First name, last name, email address and confirmation of completing the course type. In addition, students have the option to add their photo, profession and contact information to the register.
Regular sources of data
Student information is transferred from the HAKA course management register based on information entered by the student when enrolling on the course.
Regular disclosures of data
Completed performances in the learning environment are transferred to the student’s profile in the HAKA course management register.
Transfers of data outside the EU or EEA
We will not transfer data will outside the EU or the European Economic Area.
Controller’s principles of data protection
The service provider (Discendum) will at a minimum comply with the standard requirements of the KATAKRI criteria. The service provider will ensure the availability and data protection of the service in accordance with current legislation. The service provider has trained its personnel on the requirements of the EU GDPR. In addition, all persons entitled to process personal data are bound by an obligation of confidentiality.
Right of access
Everyone has the right to access and view their personal data stored in the register. Data subjects can log in with their username and password to view their data. The username and password can be ordered to the email address stored in the register.
Right to rectify data
All data subjects have the right to request the rectification of inaccurate data in the register.
Other rights related to processing of personal data
Data subjects have the right to object to the processing of their personal data by the controller for purposes of direct advertising, distance selling, other direct marketing, market research and opinion surveys.
Data subjects have the right to have their date erased, the right to restrict processing, the right to transfer data to another controller, and the right to object to processing if the requirements of current legislation are met.

Purpose of processing personal data
The register maintains information about schools associated with the NouHätä! campaign and contact persons of schools that have registered for the campaign. This information is used for:
- Communication by SPEK and representatives of rescue departments.
- Managing cooperation between the campaign and schools, tracking, analysis, statistical and development purposes.
- Targeted marketing of the campaign.
Data content of the register
The register is used to collect the following information about contact persons: first and last name, email address, phone number and IP address used for registering to the campaign. In addition, the name, city and local rescue department of the participating school, the number of eight-grade students participating in the campaign and the date and time of registration are collected in the register.
Regular sources of data
Data is collected directly from the contact persons. The data subjects have consented to the processing of personal data in this register. Data subjects have the right to withdraw their consent at any time by contacting nouhata@spek.fi.
Informing data subjects and regular disclosures of data
The personal data of data subjects will be used for the purposes mentioned in point 4. Personal data will be disclosed to the school’s local rescue department for the purpose of carrying out the campaign. Data will not be disclosed to any parties outside the campaign.
Right to rectify or erase data
A data subject who has signed up for the register has the right to request the rectification of inaccurate information in the register or the erasure of personal data and contact information from the register at any time. Related requests can be made by e-mail, and they will be sent to the controller.
